you’re not immune to his infuriatingly handsome face either, though you prefer admiring from afar, or resort to internally squealing at how a man could be this beautiful when engaged in conversation with him (heaven forbid him from ever finding out the power his face holds over you…).he’s like the typical elusive kinda guy who rarely shows his face but, when he does, the whole office quite literally swoons in his presence. now that you think about it, your boss is pretty popular around the office himself.that, or you’re living your own side character moment in a popular series. sometimes it feels like you’re surrounded by celebrities when you step through those automatic doors.in fact, you’d say you’re pretty lucky you even managed to get the job! it’s a ten minute walk from your apartment, the pay is high, the work’s admittedly not as hard as you initially thought it would be, the food there is probably better than what you could whip up yourself, and the good looks served there FOR FREE waters your non-existent crops in a way you never even imagined! commuting to work isn’t a big issue for you.ayato : office romance: ceo x employee edition ! making yourself comfy in bed, you cast one last giddy glance at the novel before falling into a slumber, unaware of what awaits you on the other side. a yawn escapes you, and so you slip in a bookmark and place your novel on the bedside table.you get good pay and look at beautiful people on the daily in the office. well regardless, your life right now is fine.(oh, the pain of being unable to just jump in and smush their heads together into a long overdue kiss that dragged on for 98 chapters, or for two seasons with twenty-five, hour-long episodes in each one…).besides, it’s always fun when you’re a bystander in such cases, torn between rooting for the main leads or on the verge of tearing your hair out and screaming to the stars above at the nearly there !! moments. you’re not saying your life is completely dull (you do stumble into your own fair share of awkward, yet heart-pounding, situations after all), but there’s just something so… so whimsical in the way such unrealistic happenings are illustrated. but you know what isn’t tough? getting into some comfy pajamas, curling up on your sofa or bed (it really just depends on your mood), getting out your fictional media of choice (you tend to switch between mangas, manhwas, novels, tv series, movies, fanfiction- you, uh, get the point…) and just let all the stress from work dissolve as you lose yourself in the giddy sensation these works of fiction provide.you know that your neighbour knows that your family knows that- heck, even your cat probably knows that when he isn’t lazing around on your carpet!.Likes and REBLOGS are appreciated if u enjoyed this !! <33 A/N : this is just a super self-indulgent post that went COMPLETELY off the rails with different tropes i love, as well as some au variations thrown in bc why not :’>
