I have used this product on this and other boats for over 20 years. This fall a detergent wash and two coats will bring up the shine. On mine, after neglecting for 5 years, I removed any old product, washed with bar keepers, polish, wash with soap to remove any residue and apply 5+ coats of new glass ll. ***Like painting, the successes are in the preparation cleaning and any polishing before.*** They too can be removed with floor stripper, or designated removers, or degreasers. They are specialty products and cost more, but there is a value in that they look much better. (they are thinner, dry much faster, and require more coats.) Poly glow, New Wax ll, and a couple more are similar products, just formulated to be applied to a vertical surface. Proper floor wax removers will remove it and reduce build up. Alternatively, place the slime in a plastic bag and mix and squeeze the mixture from outside the bag. Roll the slime around in your hand, gently squeezing the material to remove air bubbles at the same time. Applied to vertical surfaces it has been known to run. Wearing disposable gloves, remove the slime from the cup and knead it thoroughly to mix the contents completely. It is formulated for application to a horizontal surface, like a floor so it can be thicker. Acrylic floor wax protects the gel coat from scuffs, mildew and oxidation, etc. You mix it with warm water, spray on and rinse. My transducer is still working as it should too. Brown algae stains on boat bottoms magical. Mix with water in a 1, 2 or 3 gallon sprayer and always work from the bottom and spray upwards. Cleaned my trim tabs to look like new as well as my outdrive. Slimy Grimy Granular - 1 lb Vessel - SLIMY GRIMY GRANULAR - For larger jobs it is easiest applied in a pump sprayer. Floor waxes like Mop and glo do work on hull sides. Used a high pressure washer to remove it.
